The BioniX wing is the new innovative wing designed by Air Creation.
The 'bionic' adjustment of the wing is a patented configuration of design, to allow sail change in flight, controlled by a 'Corset' system in the root chord of the airframe.
The variable 'corset' adjustment of the aerofoil can be tuned to provide the pilot with an aircraft that can fly at very low speeds, and with a twist of the handle...fly at speeds of 85 knots or more..!! VNE 99 knots.
In principle, the CORSET is the variable adustment mechanism which is mounted in th
e root chord of the keel pocket.
The attachment of the adjustment cords are directly linked to the trailing edge of the wing. This unique patent design allows the billow/wing twist to be varied in flight to change the flight characteristics, without compromising the control bar position and pilot comfort ~ under a variety of flight conditions.
A versatile, wide track, low CG machine that you can launch at 30 knots (MTOW 472.5kg) and once on track, turn a lever and cruise at 85 knots (VNE 99 knots).
